Getting it right - Delivering Excellence

We experienced a bleak May Day. Welcome to our newsletter.

I am happy to report that we have received a host of e-mails from clients that have successfully gained a place at university!

We have also received one nice e-mail from a client who used our job application service – he was successful in getting a position as a Director. We love feedback on the results of our work.

Many of our clients apply to graduate programs so the personal statement is a great avenue to communicate all the skills and experience that student has achieved. This month we are going to provide tips on reasons to attend graduate school.

Spotlight – Consider graduate school

So will further graduate education add value to your personal development?

The first big question to ask is whether you need to go to graduate school. You will need to have a passionate interest in the subject. Graduate courses offer the opportunity to expand your knowledge and expand your career prospects.

Many students have no choice but to go to graduate school, doctors, lawyers or veterinarians. The lifetime cost investment analysis will allow you to find out if it is worthwhile. The unemployment rate for people with Ph.D’s, world-wide is just 9%. Therefore, the more education you undertake - the better chance you have of gaining a better position in the long term. If you are planning progression in your career then you may wish to consider graduate school once you have embarked on your career. Credentials are important when seeking a new position so a graduate degree will be an added value benefit in your job application.

Top Tip

A Master’s degree will increase your income by an estimated (£200k or $400k) so make sure you think in terms of a lifetime cost, rather than just the cost of the course.
